Report By Enda Mc Cann.

My name is Enda Mc Cann I am 9 years old and I go to St. Mary’s Primary School in Derrytrasna. I’m in P6 and my teacher is called Mr Lavery. I play for the Under 10 team for Sarsfields in midfield or in defence.
Today I went to watch Sarsfields play against Clann Eireann in the Armagh Championship at Clann Eireann football field. This was a very important match as the losers go out of the Championship.

Clann Eireann got the first score by John McLaughlin followed by TK who scored 2 points in the first half. Other good scores came from Jack Haddock and Conor Turbitt.
Sarsfields were lacking points in the first half but did get some good scores from Eamon McGeown, Michael Stevenson and Kevin McAlinden. At the end of the first half the score was Clann Eireann 0.10 and Sarsfields 0.07.

The second half became more exciting with a brilliant goal by Paul McGeown! First Kevin McAlinden tried for goal but was blocked down, Eamon McGeown then got the ball and tried for goal but was again blocked down but Paul McGeown got past the keeper and scored the best goal! Paul went on to score another 5 points!
Clann Eireann’s john Magee got a second yellow card which meant he was sent off. The referee also gave another card to Conan O’Carroll from Clann Eireann.
Sarsfields made use of the extra 2 men and scored another goal by Michael Stevenson. Clann Eireann did not give up with TK scoring a very good goal.
The final score was Sarsfields 2.16 and Clann Eireann 1.19. Sarsfields now go through on score difference to the next round of the Armagh Championship.

I really enjoyed the game and my Man of the Match was Michael Stevenson.
